How to Pick the Right Power Bank for Travel
A good power bank is the difference between a smooth trip and a dead phone at the gate. Here is what matters:
1. Capacity in the real world
- A 10000mAh bank charges a typical phone about 2 times.
- A 20000mAh bank covers 3–4 charges and still fits in carry-on luggage.
2. Fast charging
Look for USB-C PD (Power Delivery). 20W+ is standard today; 30W can top up a phone in under an hour.
3. Airline rules
Banks above 100Wh are restricted on flights. A 20000mAh bank (≈74Wh) is safe to bring.
Tip: always carry a short USB-C cable — the most forgotten travel item.
